31 Days of Halloween: Day 17: Chicago’s 24 Hour Massacre

unnamedLiving in Chicago has always had some peaks for horror fans. We have two, yes two 24 horror marathons every October. Two! That’s 48 hours of horror. *Drools*

My first one this year was The Massacre at The Patio. Sadly I was not able to stay very long but yet here are the movies I did get to see during my time there

Dead of Night

An man senses he may be in danger when he  recurring dream start to enter his reality. He ends up in a cottage where guest start sharing their supernatural tales.

Dead of Night was an enjoyable full circle movie filled with lots of stories.

Dracula Has Risen from the Grave

When his castle is exorcised, Dracula plots his revenge against the Monsignor who performed the rites by attempting to make the holy man’s young niece his bride.

This was my first time seeing this one. I always love seeing Christopher Lee in anything especially as Dracula.

Gremlins 2

I haven’t seen this in a good many years. I forgot about a lot of things like Christopher Lee being the creepy scientist. The horror host guy and other stuff. It was fun seeing it in a theater especially during that Hulk Hogan pause. It may not be the best use of a sequel but watching it again after all these years in a theater with a bunch of horror fans made it so much fun.

I wish I had that time to stay longer and watch more movies featured at the marathon but sadly it didn’t work in my schedule. Hopefully next year will be better but I had a blast for the time I was there!
