A new year brings a lot of great new films and anticipated series returns.

Here are a round up of trailers of things I’m looking forward to and things you may be interested in as well.

Enjoy

IT FOLLOWS

It-Follows-poster1-700x700

Synopsis:

For 19-year-old Jay, fall should be about school, boys and weekends out at the lake. But after a seemingly innocent sexual encounter, she finds herself plagued by strange visions and the inescapable sense that someone, or something, is following her. Faced with this burden, Jay and her teenage friends must find a way to escape the horrors that seem to be only a few steps behind.

This film is currently getting great reviews at Sundance. It almost reminds me of the After Dark Horrorfest film FROM WITHIN which I enjoyed.

I don’t know when this is getting an offical release but I’ll surely spread the word once it’s known.

KNOCK KNOCK

KnockKnockFeat

Synopsis:

A pair of femme fatales wreak havoc on the life of a happily married man.

As much as I acknowledge that Eli Roth has a reputation for kind of being a douchey guy, I will admit I still like his movies. This teaser trailer is for his attempt to stray from horror and work in the thriller aspect of the film world.

HANNIBAL SEASON 3

hannibal-season-3

A lot of crazy things happened in the finale of season 2 including the season’s build up to it. The new season continues with Will’s hunt for Hannibal.

IZOMBIE

Synopsis:

A medical student who becomes a zombie joins a Coroner’s Office in order to gain access to the brains she must reluctantly eat so that she can maintain her humanity but every brain she eats, she also inherits their memories and must now solve their deaths with help from the Medical examiner and a police detective.

This almost sounds like the comic CHEW but I’m still interested in checking it out.

DIGGING UP THE MARROW

MarrowFrightFestPoster1MedRez-674x1024

Synopsis:

A documentary exploring genre based monster art takes an odd turn when the filmmakers are contacted by a man who claims he can prove that monsters are indeed real.

I have always been a big fan of Adam Green’s work so I’ve been looking forward to this for a very long time.

This film will be touring cities along with a Feburary 20th VOD release and a March dvd/blu-ray release.

Till next time, look out for this upcoming films and series.

Also if there is a movie or new show that you think I should know about, let me know!
