Oculus

Now young adults, sibs Tim and Kaylie are still trying to recover from — and get to the bottom of — their parents’ deaths more than a decade ago.

When I first saw trailers for Oculus I thought it looked kind of lame. I decided to check it out after people I knew praised it and well… it’s not bad. It is a basic story with scares and mind trippin’ with a predictable ending but yet it was fun to watch. So have fun watching it.

Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones

When teenage Jesse investigates strange activity in a neighbor’s apartment, he encounters an ancient evil that won’t rest until it’s claimed his soul.

I know, I know, the Paranormal sequels are getting out of hand but I really dug this one. The story is a new approach to camera views, witches and finding a way to link to the first story. It’s definitely worth a watch if you like the other movies or at least found them entertaining.

Nightbreed: The Director Cut

Believing that he’s a serial killer, a troubled young man is drawn to an old cemetery where a variety of monsters are hiding from humanity.

One of my favorite Clive Barker films and monsters films as well.

Put this film in yo’ face!

This brilliant and depressing show captures the essence of how technology can ruin people’s lives.
