Friday Film Recommendations: Sept 13th

Happy Friday film lovers!

This week I have a wide variety, mixed bag selections for your Netflix instant queue.

Check it out!

A group of friends partying in Chile experience a tragic earthquake. Their night of partying and fun turns deadly when the aftermath puts them all in various dangerous situations.

I think this movie got a lot of hate because of Eli Roth’s douchey reputation but I really enjoyed this movie. I think it’s worth checking out.

The 4400

This sci-fi series chronicles the stories of 4,400 people who inexplicably vanished over the course of five decades and suddenly reappeared without having grown any older since disappearing — but now possess mysterious powers.

I loved this show back in the day when it came on USA. One of my favorite things about this show was that it starred Jeffery Combs. His character created a green serum which was a homage to Re-Animator.

The Woman

When a sadistic lawyer brings home a feral woman he found in the woods, he locks her in a shed and orders his family to “civilize” her in inhumane ways.

I didn’t know at the time I first saw this, but it’s a sequel to a movie called Offspring. I was able to follow it well but I would suggest seeing Offspring too since it does make the story stronger.

The Other F Word

This documentary takes a look at our beloved rock stars in a different light. When they’re not singing, playing instruments and destroying hotel rooms, they are home with their kids.

Watch Now

Requiem For a Dream

A soul shattering film which is basically about drugs, addictions and ass to ass.
