Friday Film Recommendations: Nov 30th

Happy Friday fiends!

If you’re looking for some movies to add to your Netflix queue, don’t fret my pet! Check out this week’s instant watch selection.

Re-Animator

A crazed medical student develops a serum that resurrects the dead.

This charming horror classic is based on a story by H.P. Lovecraft and stars the brilliantly talented Jeffrey Combs and beauty Barbara Crampton.

Death Valley

The LADP Undead Task Force hit the streets looking to take on monsters, werewolves, vampires and the like.

It’s hard to believe that MTV can put out a decent tv show after the days of Daria and Beavis and Butthead behind them but this show was great.

Too bad it won’t be back for another season so enjoy it for everything that it was.

American Horror Story: Season 1

A Boston family falling apart makes a new start by moving to L.A. They discover that their new house is famous for brutal murders. Meanwhile some ghost still linger in the house haunting the family in very effed up ways.

This is another show that I became wildly addicted to watching weekly. It’s scary, bloody and damn sexy too.

Summer School

High School gym teacher Freddie Shoop is ready for summer to begin so he can hit up Hawaii with his girlfriend. Too bad he gets forced into teaching summer school to a bunch of fun loving failures.

This movie is stand-alone awesome but as a horror fan I mainly love it for Chainsaw and the scene where the class watches Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Good times.

Starship Troopers

Based in the future, a race of bugs are attacking the world in attempt to wipe out humans. It’s up to the military to save humanity! Dun dun dunn.

Starship Troopers is one movie I never thought I be into but watching giant bugs eating people’s brains, things blowing up, guns going *pew pew pew* sold me.

I can’t speak for any of the sequels but I can never get tired of watching this one.
