Friday Film Recommendations: Aug 6th

Happy Friday Everyone. T.M. and I have another week of awesomeness movies ready for you at the click of your finger tips. Enjoy.

So I Married An Axe Murderer

I’m the kind of girl that never wants to get married so I can complete relate to Mike Myers’ character on freaking out on every relationship. Only thing is, I’m likely to date an actually ax murderer. Dun dun dunnn

T.M.- “Wait…I think that was funny”

Single White Female 2: The Psycho

The night before my parents were driving me to Chicago for college, they made the mistake of watching the first SWF movie. They freaked out at the idea that I would have 3 different roommates and that any one of the could turn out to be a psycho roommate… Qu’est-ce que c’est? I wished they would have watched this mediocre follow up to calm their fears.

T.M.- “Best Title Ever?”

His Name Was Jason

This is probably one of my favorite horror docs. It covers 3 decades of Friday the 13th films and all things Jason. I also really love the interviews from cast members and fan boys like Adam Green and Joe Lynch.

Watch Now

Step Brothers

My non-horror pick of the week. I’ve seen this on tv all the time but never got a chance to sit down and watch it Thanks to T.M. I finally did and wow, it was funny, crude and all around awesome.

T.M.- “You can call me Night Hawk.”

Watch Now

Shark Week: Ocean of Fear

If you don’t know, it’s Shark Week on Discovery Channel. Every time this year the channel features kick ass docs and etc on sharks and their grr-like nature. And for those that don’t have Discovery, poof, you can watch a part of shark week instantly!

T.M.- “Shark Week- ‘Ocean of Fear’ Hahahaha! Oh man, sharks are cool though.”

Watch Now

Alone in the Dark

I haven’t seen this one but hey, Christian Slater and Ume Boll is a recipe for awesomeness…right….errr right? Hey everyone has to be in the mood for a crappy movie at some point. Here ya go!

Love, love, love this movie. (Hate the trailer though) The girl in me melts instead for May while she battles being different and struggles to find normalcy while still hanging on to her quirks. It doesn’t matter how many times I’ve seen this, the very last scene still gets to me *sniff*

T.M.- “Pretty girls, dead boys and sewing.. good times had by all.”

Have a great weekend folks!
