It’s not every day that I get movie suggestions from readers. I’m always open to the idea of getting exposed to a movie I’ve never seen/heard/ before so I’m down for anything.
Mr. Nathan at Soft Nonsense (check it out, yo) suggested Jolly Roger: Massacre at Cutter’s Cove for me on the Resurrection Movie post. I’ve been sitting on this for a week now but since Mondays are my only free days of the week, I thought I’d check this out now plus I don’t want to be a dick and keep other Netflixers waiting while I hold on to this gem. Hehe.
So I feel like this movie was a missed opportunity. Saturday my friends and I got together to watch a bunch of cheesy movies and this one would have been oh so perfect.
A group of friends unleash a demonic pirate from a treasure chest. Throw in some bad acting (I could swear one guy was pooping himself after delivering lines) lots of decap scenes and a likable villain and hey this isn’t so bad. Ok, it’s bad but awesomely bad. Get your friends together and drink some beers-bad. I just got my dogs and a glass of water to keep me company but it still works.
This movie has a Full Moon kind of feel to it so it’s entertaining, goofy as fuck and well-rounded gory. Thanks Nathan for the suggestion.
And anyone else want to throw some stuff my way. Email, comment, pigeon carrier, anything is cool just as long as it’s easy to find.
